SURPRISE! We’ve been keeping quiet over here because there has been a lot going on! We’ve made a big home move to my parents before our new place is ready, and that was been a lot of work for us especially with a toddler, but we’ve also been keeping our second baby pregnancy on the down-low! BABY LEE #2 is arrving JUNE 2020 and we couldn’t be more ecstatic! We planned on having another sibling for Miles but honestly, it’s exhausting having a toddler and a very active toddler like my child has made just take our time instead of jumping right into it! When we wanted to conceive this time around, it took a little more effort than it did with Miles – Miles was conceived on our first try, but this time around it took a few months and I started to think that it might be a bit more difficult with the second. We prayed, we talked to friends and let the road take its course, and a few months later we found out we were expecting (again). I am grateful for this, and I know it doesn’t compare at all to what others may be going through in terms of infertility and conception but know that I am always thinking of you guys out there!
When we wanted to share the news, we wanted to wait it out a bit to make sure everything was okay. I only just had my first OBGYN appointment a week ago and confirmed our pregnancy was fine. I will never forget that sound of a baby’s heartbeat in the womb – it is powerful stuff. This first trimester has been difficult and challenging because of the many changes we went through in terms of a move, some small renos, trying to rent our place and being a parent while at it. I felt way more tired, and nauseous this time around but I’m not sure if it’s because I’m just pregnant or because of being pregnant AND having a toddler. None the less, my parents have pretty much saved us every morning and have given us some extra ZZZ’s and my in-laws help throughout the week for things like pick-ups from Montessori. We are blessed with our village and they’re pretty excited to have another sibling for Miles!
We wanted to document this time with Whitney Heard, who has become a friend to us over the years. She has literally been there from the start. From our maternity shoot in an apple orchard, to running around with Miles and summer (her pup) during peach blossoms season, and now, now on our second maternity shoot off at a tree farm. We can’t seem to get ourselves out of these tree themed photo sessions, but hey we love it and can’t complain! We spent the day at Drydale’s Tree Farm on the most perfect winter day, with sunshine and just enough snow to have Miles playing in it. If you haven’t been there, I highly recommend it! There’s something for everyone like train rides, hot chocolate, Santa’s House and lots and lots of reindeer! Today, I’m sharing some of our faves from the shoot, some of which have turned into Christmas cards, and our little baby#2 announcement! We love you Whit, you are truly a talented human but also a really nice one which makes a HUGE difference – thank you for your care in capturing these special moments for us
