For this Father’s Day, I thought that we (Miles and I of course) could do something extra special for the best dad in the world. Recently, we’ve been doing some redecorating around the house and simply updating our photos has made a huge difference in the overall feel of the home. We love taking photos and keeping these memories especially in the form of print. I mean who doesn’t love walking into a home and seeing faces of their favourite memories around the house? To celebrate our love and appreciation for Roy, I decided to fill our space with our favourite family photos and upgrade our frame game with Artifact Uprising.
First, I updated our simple and plain corner wall above our couch. I chose Artifact’s Floating Frame because it’s absolutely a stunner and added a photo from our wedding day. I was a bit scared of making a mistake when adding it to the wall, but it was surprisingly easy (well even easier for me because I watched my hubby do it)! In this little nook, I also added a little shelf and lined out a few Everyday Prints filled with favourite moments that can be changed from time to time! Now, this wall is my favourite wall in the entire home.
Next, I decided to update Miles’ play area with new Gallery Frames and photographs from our trip to Cannon Beach, Oregon. Since I wanted the frames to be side by side, I decided to go with two photos that paired well together and that Roy would love to see every day.
In our bedroom, we’ve had the most hideous breaker box on one of our walls and in clear sight for the longest time. I’ve been meaning to cover it up but just didn’t get around to find the right frame. I finally measured it out and figured out a good size that would not only cover the box but fit the wall without looking awkward. I also chose another print to fit the Gallery Frame of the same size to fit the another wall in our room. When we wake up every morning now, we’re greeted by our family adventures to the west coast.
