It’s that time again when basically I let the One of a Kind show just take all my money! The spring show is great because you’re not stressed out like you would be near the holidays, rather I find that people come to the show with excitement and for spring inspiration! This year, I attended the show on opening day, and enjoyed walking around finding new vendors with a couple of pals. I always have to refrain myself from spending too much because there is so much I’d love to take home with me!
With many events and celebrations trickling into our schedules, I thought I’d try a little DIY for those special occasions. Today, I’m sharing some DIY gift boxes with unique items from makers at the OOAK show this year. They’re super easy to make and perfect for anyone and any celebration! I’m sure your special someone will appreciate the thought and care you put into each box and item!
What you’ll need
- wooden boxes
- ribbon (I used linen ones)
- paper tags (you can also cut these out of paper yourself)
- crinkle paper (to fill box)
- items to fill boxes
For these DIY boxes, start by filling the boxes with crinkle paper, then place the items you’ve purchased! Depending on your budget, I’d recommend to have 3-5 items in each box. I also added a little paper tag with a Lark + Ives letter pin to customize each recipient’s box. Below are my picks for 3 different box ideas!
