After choosing all our “key” furniture pieces for our new home i.e. the bed, dining table, couch, etc., we needed a few more essential pieces that would add a touch of personal flare. The one thing to keep in mind for a small space is that every piece should serve both function and purpose. As you know, we weren’t scared to purchase our furniture online – there’s a great and easy return policy in place for online businesses like Rove Concepts so that you can return your items if need be. So, we had no problem decorating and adding the finishing touches to our home.
We wanted to make sure that every piece we chose were multifunctional pieces in our space. For that reason we chose for our living space the Andrej Sideboard which could belong in a dining or living space. Although, ours has a tv mounted on the wall above it now, it still serves us well especially with its height and extra storage space. We also added accents like the Kure Strapped Marble Vase (which is detachable) in both 8″ and 4.5″ (currently used as vases but could be used on a kitchen counter to hold utensils), Simple Marble Trivet and Glass Jar with Marble Lid.
In our living space, we added the Round Chair to give more seating options when guests are over. The chair’s style fits into our home perfectly, that it can be moved into a bedroom or office if we ever decided to give our living space a change.
In the kitchen, we chose a few key pieces that serve both as kitchen counter decorations and functional serving pieces. We opted for Cooper Mugs, Acadia Tray in Small and Medium, and Glass Jar with Marble Lid.
For dining and entertaining guests, we chose these beautiful Kure Warm Grey Ceramic plates, bowls and mugs which are also used for those #onthetable shots of our breakfast scenes.
Lastly, some of the best multifunctional pieces from Rove Concepts can be used throughout the entire house: bedroom, living and even bathroom areas! The Concrete Tray, Simple Marble Trivet and Glass Jar with Marble Lid are pieces that can be moved from room to room.
All in all, adding accents to your space is the last step of the decorating process and can be the most fun. With Rove Concepts, we were able to chose multifunctional pieces that will last us a very, very long time! I’m keeping my eye on other pieces like their Platform Bench that would work great in an entrance way or as a coffee table.
