When I looked into traveling to a country like Morocco, I never thought I’d stumble upon a magical place called Scarabeo Camp. Glamping at its finest, Scarabeo Camp provides comfort and ease to those who aren’t ready to make the plunge for the 3 or 4 day trek deep into the Sahara.
We stayed here a few nights before heading over to the Sahara desert, but it was more of peaceful resort than a camp. With minimal cell service, it allowed us to disconnect and embrace our surroundings. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love me some camping from time to time, but this camp had it all. Our tents included a private shower and toilet, seating area, desk and even a small area outside to enjoy the sunrise and sunset every single day. One of the highlights on the trip was taking the ATV out and having tea with a berber woman and her family in their home. One thing is for sure, I’m ready to go back and Morocco is still on my mind.
Stay: Scarabeo Camp
Duration: 2 nights, 3 days (I’d recommend 1 night/2 days and including a Desert tour)
Activities available: ATVs, Camel Trek, Stargazing with Astrologer, Yoga.
